We're back!

You may not have heard anything from us for a while, but behind the scenes it’s been busy times in the Below The Fall camp.  First of all, we’d like to welcome two new members to the band.  Sam Towell has joined us on bass, with Chris Barlow joining us on guitar.  This has freed up Dan to take up keyboards.

We’ve finished work on our new 5-track EP Futile, which we are happy to say is now available to pre-order on CD from our bandcamp page.  This is again being released through Witch Hunter Records.  The CD will be available from mid-January, but if you pre-order now you will receive an instant download code so that you can hear it straightaway.  We have also made a video with Drew Casson for lead track Shelter which is now available to view below.

So what about gigs?  Yeah, it’s been a while.  But we will be back with the new line up in January, including an EP launch party at The Canal Bar in Newbury with our friends in Everyone Needs A Nemesis and Highly Personal.

Here’s a list of gigs booked so far, with more to come:

Friday 13th January - Canal Bar, Newbury w/ Everyone Needs A Nemesis & Highly Personal
Sunday 15th January - The Railway, Winchester w/ Firestate, Daken & Lucy T
Friday 3rd February - The Swan, Wantage w/ Firestate
Thursday 9th February - East West, Reading w/ TBC

Below The Fall Mk 2 - coming soon

As you probably know by now, we have parted ways with Leigh. GuilFest was his last gig with us and we'd like to thank him for everything over the last couple of years. A lot of fun times have been had.

Things change, and we are now pleased to welcome Sam Towell into the band who is fitting in great. We are in the studio this weekend to hopefully finish off our new EP, and then after a short break while Alex is getting married and on honeymoon we will be making our return in October, both with the new EP and some live dates.

First gig back is now confirmed for 9th October with lots of friends...

UPDATE: Unfortunately we will not now be playing the Oxjam gig on 9th October as we have some more changes on the way, but you should definitely still get down there and check out some other local talent.

GuilFest

Ok, so we said we probably wouldn’t be playing live for a few months, but we couldn’t say no to this one! We’ve been asked to play Guilfest on Sunday 17th July. We’re on early at 12 p.m. so it’ll be good long day out. On top of that we will have just been in the studio too, so we should have a couple of news songs to play.

For those of you that don’t know Guilfest, it’s a pretty decent size festival with a very diverse bill. On the Sunday when we’re playing you’ll find anything from Gallows to James Blunt. Oh, and a band some of you might know going by the name of The After Affect.

If you fancy making a weekend of it, then the bill also includes Skindred, Funeral For A Friend, Razorlight, Roger Daltrey, N-Dubz, The Xcerts, Dinosaur Pile Up, among many others over the weekend… check out the full line up at www.guilfest.co.uk.

We’ve got a stack of tickets at discounted prices, so if you’d like to come down for a big day out (or even a weekend) please get in touch with one of us or at info@belowthefall.com.

Sunday tickets - £44 (full price £49) BUY HERE
Weekend tickets (no camping) - £100 (full price £110)
Weekend tickets (with camping) - £110 (full price £120)

Also, if you book through us there are NO booking fees.

It'd be great to see some of you there!

'Finish Me' video / single launch

It's exciting times in the Below The Fall camp.

As you may know, we recently shot a video for 'Finish Me' under the expert direction of Drew Casson and his team. Well it's ready and I must say it looks pretty amazing!

We have decided to host a launch party for the video on 14th May at Herongate Leisure in our home town of Hungerford (facebook event). This will include live sets from Below The Fall and other local bands Highly Personal and Pedantic Pandaz, extra footage from the video shoots filmed and edited by Dan Richens, and of course the premiere of the Finish Me music video. It will be just £2 on the door, and we will also have a limited number of DVDs for sale with the video and LOADS of bonus footage.

Finish Me will also be released as a download-only single through Witch Hunter Records to coincide with the video, and will be available to download straight after the launch night from belowthefall.bandcamp.com. The video will also be on Drew's YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/kermitcasson and linked on here, facebook, twitter etc. Seriously, you won't be able to escape it!

As well as the launch party, we're also playing a handful of other gigs to support the release and it'd be great to see you along the way...

4th May - The Oakford Social Club, Reading
7th May - Stuck On A Name Studios, Nottingham (Witch Hunter Records 1st Birthday)
3rd June - The Swan, Wantage
and a couple more in the pipeline.

In related news, we'll hopefully going back into the studio in the next couple of months to record the rest of the EP.

See you soon,
Below The Fall

Below The Fall needs you!

Ok, here's whats happening, We've just been into the studio to record a new song called 'Finish me' for a professional music video we gonna be shooting within the next few weeks. The band have managed to get the highly talented Drew Casson to produce and direct the film.

Now the reason we've started this facebook group is to kindly ask you to be an extra in our video, we need as many people as possible in this shoot.

The storyline and acting we require is down the same line as '28 days later' basically Aggressive, violent, fast moving Zombies chasing us. We need you to wear old clothes that you don't mind getting ripped or dirty and also be albe to get to 2 of our local locations (Hungerford area). Feel free to ask your friends/family too, we're after people over the age of 14 upto the age of 60 (providing you can run and be scary!!)

I 'll explain in more detail about the shoot and storyline once we get some numbers up on here. i'll also put some links up of Drew's previous work and others related to what we're after!!...thank you so much guys and girls!!

speak soon, Dan

Live from the studio

We're hitting the studio on Monday to record a new track. The plan is that we will be making a video for it and it will also feature on our next release.

We thought it might be fun to set a webcam up so you can keep up with how it's all going. It should appear below and we will keep you posted on Facebook and Twitter when anything of interest may be happening.
